Founding story
Enabled Engineering was founded in 2019 by Kumar, a seasoned metallurgist, welding engineer, and technology innovator with over two decades of hands-on experience in the materials and manufacturing industry. After 24 years of working at the intersection of research, design, and application, Kumar recognized a persistent gap between scientific advancements and their industrial adoption. Enabled Engineering was born out of this insight — to bridge that gap and bring cutting-edge, interdisciplinary solutions to real-world manufacturing challenges.
With expertise spanning metal casting, forming, welding, and additive manufacturing, Kumar has consistently pushed the boundaries of what’s possible in advanced processing. His approach combines deep technical knowledge with a pragmatic vision — transforming fundamental research into viable, high-impact technologies. He has led the development of special-purpose machines and novel experimental setups, enabling pioneering work in solid-state processes and material innovation.
